Development suspended and 0.1c pre-combat patch notes.


Development has been suspended. I wrote a long blog post about the reasons behind this but accidently hit the return key on my mouse lol.

We want you to enjoy Slapscape in its final glory, so we have decided the final build before we ripped the combat system apart.



Patch notes 0.1c pre-combat

--Important notice

Due to further changes in item structure, inventory saves are most likely corrupt, so we heavily recommend deleting all your saves.

This update has not seen alot of post-balancing and testing.

--Major

-Inventory: The preparations for new inventory features has been building up for several patches and has now resulted in a far more fleshed out inventory with many new tools for inventory management, this however came at the cost of limiting the players inventory size and items now have a stack size limit.

This includes using items from inventory, rearranging inventory, splitting stacks and more

Warning: Since no overflow handling has been added, if your inventory is full and you get a new item, the item will just cease to exist.

-Banking: Limited bagspace almost always requires access to a larger storage, therefore it is only natural that banking gets added.

It currently is very barebones, you can deposit and withdraw, but reordering, dragging and tabs are to be added at a later day.

-Tons of new items, the amount of items has doubled to an amount over 100, this includes mostly gear, new gemstones and a silver ore/bar

-Equipment menu. With tons of gear comes a way to equip it. This allows you to equip your gathering tools, consumables and all the other new gear types.

-Prospecting (formerly digging) is no longer done via combat. It is now done through it’s own little minigame, this minigame also gives you a chance of a new rare artifact.

The plan is for all gathering skills to be reworked into their own minigame, maybe even kindling.

-Xp changes, the xp formula for levels has been changed to scale better and the level cap has been increased to 50, which the game now will be “balanced” around and several already implemented features have been changed to accomodate for this

--Minor

Backend restructuring of crafting stations, now supports tabs.

-Info menu moved to main screen

-New ore sprite

-Playtime is now (somewhat) properly formatted

-The UI for artifacts has been vastly improved

-The UI for skills has been improved

-Buttlins have been renamed to Butlins

-Butlins and chickens now move around, bringing a little more movement to the world

-several skills have been renamed

-The amount of enemies have been lowered with the new prospecting minigame replacing golems, they may show up in the future

-Diamonds have been removed from the drop table of all enemies except Lord Dong and Nillers røv.

-Some items can now be sold at merchant
